Frequently asked questions
Can I use it with a real flame?
Yes. Every menorah comes with a full set of adapters for standard tiki torches. Take off the plastic bulb cover, put in the adapter, and set the torch in place. Refillable torch canisters (usually about 7 cm across) are sold at hardware and home stores and online — remember to pick up fuel too.
How tall is it?
The flagship model stands 10 feet. There is also a 6 foot model.
Is it hard to assemble?
No. It was designed for drop-in, tool-free setup — no ladder needed. See the setup video above.
How strong is it?
The frame is aluminum extrusion and has been stress-tested for outdoor use. The base is unusually wide for stability and still folds flat for storage.
Do I need sandbags?
In normal weather the wide base keeps it standing on its own. If strong gusts or high winds are expected, add sandbags or similar weight.
Is it lit on both sides?
Yes.
Will it fit in my car?
Collapsed, it fits most vehicles. In a sedan you'll usually need to fold the rear seat down into the trunk.
Can it run on batteries?
It can. Contact Beams of Light (below) for specific power details and recommendations.
Do the lights change color?
No — the LEDs are a single color.
What if I need a replacement bulb or part?
Replacement parts are available from Beams of Light and can ship overnight. Standard compatible bulbs are also sold online and in hardware stores, though the manufacturer's bulbs are brighter with a warmer reddish-orange tone.
