For the first time in over 40 years, The Shluchim Office is revitalizing the iconic charity box of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s "Mivtza Tzedakah." Featuring modern English graphics by Spotlight Design, this simple, sturdy tin is designed for the modern desk, kitchen counter, and retail checkout.

Launched in the Summer of 1974, the Rebbe’s mission was to make charity a permanent, daily fixture of every Jewish environment. This isn’t just a coin collector—it is a tool for spiritual transformation.

Why This Pushka is Different

This Pushka follows the directives found in the Rebbe's Sichah (Parshas Korach, 5734).

The Foundations: Directives from the Rebbe

1)     The Rebbe suggested that a Pushkah should not bear the name of any specific organization. This ensures the act of giving remains pure, removing any perception that the collector is seeking personal honor.

2)     The Rebbe explicitly requested that 10 Mivtzoim be featured through illustrations. By placing these visuals on the Pushkah, it becomes an educational tool. Every time a coin is dropped in, the donor is visually prompted to think about Tefillin, Mezuzah, and the other Mivtzoim.

We approached every element with reverence for the Rebbe’s original instructions. The text and images were reviewed with care, based directly on the Rebbe’s own hagohos and notes on the original Tzach Pushkah and various other Tzach publications. We wanted to ensure the message remains as accurate as the Rebbe intended.

This Pushkah is also a perfect idea for Purim as part of Mishloach Manos. Fill the Pushkah with hamantashen, candies, or chocolates, allowing the recipients to fulfill the mitzvah of Mishloach Manos while receiving a lasting gift they can continue to use throughout the year—helping them fulfill the Mitzvah of Tzedakah every day.
